Alessandra Piccione, Writer & Producer

Alessandra was honoured to attract an Oscar caliber of talent to her film, THE CUBAN, starring Ana Golja, Louis Gossett Jr. and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Her screenplay now sits in the Core Collection at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Margaret Herrick Library. Prior to this, Piccione penned LOOKING FOR ANGELINA, with New York playwright Frank Canino, and THE COLOSSAL FAILURE OF THE MODERN RELATIONSHIP. Her script WHAT WE HAVE LEFT is slated for production later this year.

As the mom continually seeking the best approach to educating her own son, Alessandra is passionate about using THE GENIUS PROJECT to expand the global conversation on how to nurture creative genius and unlock the massive potential of the next generation.

Sergio Navarretta, Director & Producer

Sergio is an internationally award-winning director who draws inspiration from Italian Neo-realism. His film THE CUBAN, starring Ana Golja and Louis Gossett Jr., was nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards and was shortlisted by Variety Magazine as an Oscar contender. He has worked closely with Grammy Nominated composer, Hilario Duran, and with top Hollywood talent such as Oscar Winner Louis Gossett Jr., Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, John Travolta, Jeremy Renner, John Cleese, Angelica Huston, Heidi Klum, Danny Glover and Mike Tyson, among others. He most recently directed YUPPIE, starring and produced by Lauren Holly, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
